Last June I had the privilege of being part of a diverse group of wonderful musicians, who each felt to give their time and talents as a gift of Peace & Reconciliation. The tour travelled to diverse communities from across Israel and Bethlehem, playing on rooftops, streets, hostels, churches and often into the early hours of the morning! it was incredibly moving to witness conflicting communities come together through music, It’s pretty epic that a simple ‘jamming’ session has the power to break down hostile walls, bringing healing through a shared experience. There was much laughter, encouragement and new friendships made. The vision was a simple act of love and equality, playing to both sides of the wall, Investing in both Israelis and Palestinians. I hope that music and art will continue to be a healing tool for peace.
